[BUG] Claude Desktop will not launch on Macbook Air

What's Wrong?

Claude Desktop will not launch on my Mackbook Air. Given everything we've tried, this is almost certainly a compatibility issue between the Claude desktop app and macOS Tahoe. Tahoe is very new, and the app may not yet be fully tested against it. I'd recommend contacting Anthropic support directly — they'll be best positioned to confirm if this is a known Tahoe issue and provide a fix or updated installer. support.anthropic.com When you contact them, it'll help to mention: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1, M3 chip App bounces once and quits with no crash log zsh: killed when launching from Terminal sudo xattr -cr completed without errors but didn't fix it
