[BUG] Validating KiCad schematic for Exhaust Gas Sensor using MAX31856, Claude Code kept reporting pins 2-4 backwards

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The core bug worth reporting is: KiCad symbol pin coordinate calculations consistently used sheet_y = center_y + symbol_py

What Should Happen?

instead of the correct sheet_y = center_y - symbol_py, because KiCad symbol local coordinates are y-up while sheet coordinates are y-down. This caused repeated wrong connectivity analysis (swapping T+ and BIAS across multiple validation rounds) until a screenshot made the error obvious.
