What's Wrong?
Describe the bug
Every time I open a new conversation in the Claude Code desktop app (Windows),
it always defaults to the same project folder (my last heavily-used project),
regardless of which project I want to work on. There is no setting to configure
a default working directory for new sessions.
Environment
- OS: Windows 11
- Claude Code Desktop App version: 2.1.142
What Should Happen?
Expected behavior
New sessions should either:
- Allow users to set a default working directory, OR
- Open to a neutral home/landing page where users can choose a project folder

Steps to Reproduce
Current behavior
Every new session opens with the project folder firstest-loaded.
This is disruptive when switching between different projects.
