Claude wasting tokens & resources

Severe issue with continual lying, refusal to follow directions and outright waste of my token time and money. Over 35 hours of development time blown when Claude decided to reach back three major (working) releases and break them all. Unable to follow directions even when hard-coded into the .md file. Hallucinations of it's ability to complete a task, continual introduction of regressive errors, and re-work of the firmly established working codebase, ui, control system, services, port addresses, and chronic excuses for straight malfeasance and mis-operation. Just now, on v17 of my app, Claude Code decided to "shim" a feature instead of using the correct, task appropriate input. This action has now invalidated 6 hours of work today as it now claims to "not remember" what it did that broke the working code, even when told to review it's every last action, it's a 50/50 proposition if it will be able to recover. When told to put it's mistakes in writing, it had no problem calling itself out and writing an incident report.
