Max 20x: 5-hour rate limits not doubled despite May 6 announcement

The May 6 announcement "Higher usage limits for Claude and a compute deal with SpaceX" states:

We're doubling Claude Code's five-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans — all effective today.

What I'm seeing: As of May 8, my Max 20x ($200/month) account has not received this increase. My 5-hour usage still burns ~14–15% of my weekly allocation per full 5-hour window — identical to pre-May-6 behavior. If limits were doubled, this number should have dropped to ~7–8%.

Support was unable to help: The support chat bot had no knowledge of the May 6 announcement at all. It pointed me to unrelated old promotions (March 2026, Holiday 2025) and asked me to share screenshots. There appears to be no path to reach a human through the support system.

Questions:

  1. Has the doubling actually been applied to Max 20x accounts, or is this a phased rollout that wasn't communicated?
  2. Is there any way to verify on my end whether the new limits are active on my account?
  3. If this is a bug, is there a timeline for the fix?

Happy to provide any account-level details privately if needed.
