[BUG] time is off

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Mar 16, 2025 by dasrfp Closed Mar 17, 2025

Environment

  • Platform (select one):
  • [X] Anthropic API
  • Claude CLI version: 0.2.45 (Claude Code)
  • Operating System: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
  • Terminal: gnome-term (xterm-256color)

Bug Description

Claude doesn't know what time it is. At ~5:50 PM CDT it timestamped a file (i.e., noted in contents) as 7:14 PM. I asked claude code what time it is and it confirmed that it thought the time was 7:14 PM CDT. I advised it to use the date command to get the time going forward

Steps to Reproduce

  1. ask claude code what time it is
  2. get the incorrect time back

Expected Behavior

expected the correct time to be given

Actual Behavior

got the incorrect time
