Bug description
The keyboard shortcuts ⌘1, ⌘2, ⌘3 displayed as tooltips on the Chat/Cowork/Code tab buttons in the Claude desktop app do not work.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the Claude desktop app
- Press
⌘1,⌘2, or⌘3 - Nothing happens — the mode does not switch
Expected behavior
Pressing ⌘1 should switch to Chat mode, ⌘2 to Cowork, ⌘3 to Code, as shown in the button tooltips.
Workaround attempted
- Removed
⌘1/2/3shortcuts from Arc browser → did not fix - Confirmed Magnet and Slack are not intercepting these shortcuts globally
keybindings.jsondoes not appear to be supported in the desktop app
Environment
- macOS, Claude desktop app (com.anthropic.claudefordesktop)
