Problem Statement

The Keyboard Shortcuts list in Claude Desktop (Cmd+/ or Help → Keyboard Shortcuts) now contains a lot of shortcuts, but there is no way to search or filter it. To find the one shortcut I need, I have to scroll and read the whole list from top to bottom, which is slow and uncomfortable.

Proposed Solution

Add a search/filter field at the top of the Keyboard Shortcuts list:

  • focused automatically when the list opens,
  • filters shortcuts by keyword as I type (matching the action name, and ideally the key combination too, e.g. typing "effort" or "shift+e"),
  • shows only the relevant shortcuts immediately.

Alternative Solutions

Currently the only option is scrolling through the full list and reading it manually.

Medium - Would be very helpful

Use Case Example

  1. I want to change something quickly (e.g. effort level, a pane, the sidebar) and I don't remember the shortcut.
  2. I press Cmd+/ to open the Keyboard Shortcuts list.
  3. Today: I scroll and read the whole list until I find it.
  4. With this feature: I type "effort" and immediately see the one matching shortcut.
