[BUG] Cowork tab not visible in sidebar despite Pro subscription and latest app version

What's Wrong?

Environment:

  • Claude Desktop version: 1.2773.0 (884b37)
  • OS: Windows 11 Enterprise, Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.6783)
  • Plan: Pro subscriber

Issue:
The Cowork tab does not appear in the mode selector alongside Chat and Code, despite meeting all stated requirements.

What I've tried:

  • Reinstalled Claude Desktop from claude.com/download
  • Signed out and back in
  • Toggled Dispatch off/on in Settings → Cowork
  • Restarted the app completely

Additional info:

  • Settings → Cowork page exists and is accessible (Dispatch toggle is enabled)
  • Only Chat and Code tabs are visible in the sidebar
  • No relevant errors found in Windows Event Viewer → Application logs

What Should Happen?

The Cowork tab should appear in the mode selector alongside Chat and Code tabs in the Claude Desktop sidebar.

Error Messages/Logs

No relevant errors found in Windows Event Viewer → Application logs.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Desktop v1.2773.0 on Windows 11
  2. Sign in with a Pro subscriber account
  3. Open the app
  4. Observe the sidebar - only Chat and Code tabs are visible, no Cowork tab
