[BUG] Dispatch stuck on "Asleep" — can't reach desktop (macOS, Max plan)

What's Wrong?

Dispatch has been showing "Asleep" status on mobile and displaying:

"Can't reach your desktop. Check that your computer is online and desktop app is open."

This was working fine until today (April 6, 2026). Nothing changed on my end.

What Should Happen?

Dispatch should show "Online" status on mobile and allow sending tasks to the desktop. This was working correctly until today — no configuration changes were made.

Error Messages/Logs

"Can't reach your desktop. Check that your computer is online and desktop app is open."

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude mobile app
  2. Go to Dispatch
  3. Status shows "Asleep"
  4. Send any message → "Can't reach your desktop" error
  5. Desktop app is open, Mac is awake and online

What I've Tried (all failed)
Confirmed Mac is awake and online
Claude Desktop app is open and running
Cowork/Code tabs visible in desktop app
Logged out and back in on both devices
Force quit (Cmd+Q) and restarted Claude Desktop
Restarted Mac
Force closed and reopened mobile app
Checked Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions
Re-toggled keep-awake and file access in Dispatch settings
No VPN or firewall blocking
Reinstalled Claude Desktop
