What's Wrong?

My account has been incorrectly downgraded to the Free plan despite having an active Max 5x subscription that auto-renews on April 7, 2026. I did not cancel or make any changes to my plan.

As of today, April 3, 2026, my account displays as Free tier in the main interface, yet my billing settings still show the Max plan as active with a valid payment method and $100 in available credit.

Account Details

Field | Value
-- | --
Plan | Max 5x
Auto-renewal date | April 7, 2026
Payment method | Visa ending in 7272
Credit balance | $100 (redeemed gift subscription)
Last invoice | $27.83 — paid March 7, 2026

Steps to Reproduce

Log in to claude.ai

Open Settings → Account

Plan shows as Free instead of Max 5x

Open Settings → Billing → plan details show Max 5x active with correct renewal date

Expected Behavior

Account should display Max 5x plan with full feature access, including Claude Code and Opus model.

Actual Behavior

Main interface and account settings show Free tier. Access to Max plan features is lost. Billing settings show the subscription as active — creating a clear discrepancy.

Evidence

Two screenshots attached:

Screenshot 1 — Billing settings showing Max 5x plan active, renewal April 7, $100 credit balance ✅

Screenshot 2 — Account/plan view showing Free tier ❌

Additional Context

No usage policy violations

No plan changes requested by me

Contacted support via email (support@anthropic.com) on April 3, 2026 — only received automated responses from Fin AI Agent

Fin AI Agent confirmed this is a technical discrepancy but was unable to resolve it

Support conversation ID: 215473766427421

Renewal is in 4 days (April 7) — urgent resolution needed to avoid billing or access issues

What Should Happen?

Account should display Max 5x plan with full feature access, including Claude Code and Opus model access. The $100 credit balance should remain intact and the subscription should remain active until the scheduled renewal on April 7, 2026.
