[FEATURE] Consider an official open-source path for Claude Code

Problem Statement

The source code of claude-code has already been leaked [1]. Regardless of how that occurred, the reality is that the code is now in the public domain of discussion and scrutiny.

Instead of ignoring this, why not take a constructive path forward?

Proposed Solution

Open-sourcing the project would:

• Restore trust through transparency [2]
• Enable community auditing and security improvements

Clinging to a closed model after a leak creates unnecessary friction and distrust. Embracing openness turns a liability into an opportunity—for both the project and the wider ecosystem.

If the goal is to build something meaningful and enduring, then developing in the open is the strongest path forward.
