Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Claude Code v2.1.78 displays "Claude Pro" in the status line for users subscribed to the Claude Max plan. The model shown is
correct (Opus 4.6 with high effort), but the plan label is incorrect. This may cause confusion about whether Max-tier token
limits are being applied correctly.

What Should Happen?

The status line should display "Claude Max" instead of "Claude Pro" for users subscribed to the Max plan, accurately
reflecting their subscription tier.
