[BUG] Intermittently deletes user message

Environment

• Operating System: macOS latest
• Terminal: Cursor

Bug Description

Sometimes when a task is running, if I type and submit a follow-up message, it just disappears rather than getting submitted properly.

Steps to Reproduce

Unable to figure out how to reproduce reliably, but this has happened to me several times.

Expected Behavior

Never lose a message I submit.

Actual Behavior

Sometimes lose submitted messages which requires that I type them out from scratch again.
