[Bug] Paste functionality intermittently stops working without error message

Bug Description
On PC whether using vscode plugin or terminal version of claude code - pasting lines of text into the window stops working at random intervals it just does not allow it at all. No visual indicators or error messages, I just cannot paste in. It is extremely annoying. I have to restart the instance to get it working again.
