What's Wrong?

I tried making a new account and it says "Unable to send verification code to this number. Try a different number or try again later." or "Too many verification attempts. Wait and try again later"

What Should Happen?

Users should be able to successfully verify their phone numbers and complete onboarding using valid mobile numbers.

Upon entering a valid number, an OTP should be delivered, allowing the user to proceed and gain access to Claude Code Team Pro without errors.

Error Messages/Logs

Unable to send verification code to this number. Try a different number or try again later." or "Too many verification attempts. Wait and try again later"

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Invite a new user to a Claude Code Team Pro workspace
  2. User receives the invitation email from Anthropic
  3. User accepts the invitation and proceeds to onboarding
  4. User is prompted to verify their phone number
  5. Enter a valid mobile number in international format
  6. Submit the number for OTP verification
  7. Observe the error message
