Warning appears to be inaccurate as well. I'm seeing a much smaller memory footprint according to my task manager.

Thanks for the reports, we're investigating. Is anyone here _not_ on a Windows machine? Want to make sure I understand the scope of impact.
I'm on Linux, @szwang. Happy to help.
I'm on Linux vm @szwang
Seems to be fixed for me in 2.1.72
I switched to stable from latest version and it stabilised.
Happens to me on Claude Code v2.1.72, Sonnet 4.6, Windows 11 , Windows terminal
Still having this issue on v2.1.72 Windows, Opus 4.6, Windows Terminal
It might also be VSCode specific @szwang - noticed that the mem usage number it is giving matches my VSCode mem but not any combination of claude instance memories, even though I am not running claude from any VSCode terminal
(If you are wondering why the ~1GB discrepancy, it is transient, sometimes when I tab into process manager it is up to 7.4gb etc then drops down)

Thanks all! A fix was shipped with 2.1.73 this morning. Does it work now?
Thanks @szwang. Switched back to
latestand now on v2.1.74 and it's chugging along smoothly again.Fixed for me with v2.1.74
