[BUG] status line in win11 powershell does not stay on the bottom but stays at the start of the conversation

What's Wrong?

On Win11 using powershell for running Claude Code (version 2.1.70), the status line does not stay at the bottom of the window, but at the start of the conversation and is not visible after a few lines of messages

What Should Happen?

The status line should stay at the bottom of the window, visible all the time

Steps to Reproduce

Configure Claude code status line
Open powershell on Win11
start Claude code with the claude command
see the status line at the bottom
start prompting and receiving answers
the status line disappears (you can find it by scrolling up to the beginning of the session)
