  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

Claude Desktop app users with both personal and work accounts (using different email addresses) currently need to log out and log back in to switch accounts. This creates friction when:

Managing separate personal and work projects
Using a personal Pro account + employer Team account
Maintaining distinct conversation histories and contexts

Solution:
Add native account switching to Claude Desktop, similar to:

Slack (workspace switcher)
Discord (server switcher)
Chrome (profile switcher)
VS Code (account selector)

Proposed Solution

Proposed UX:
A dropdown menu in the bottom-left corner (next to user initials) that shows all authenticated accounts and allows instant switching without re-authentication or losing context.
Why it matters:
Many users maintain multiple Claude accounts for different purposes. The current workflow interrupts productivity and defeats the purpose of having a native desktop app. This is especially important for teams adopting Claude in enterprise environments alongside personal usage.
