[BUG] Response not displayed when switching between open sessions

What's Wrong?

When switching between open Claude Code sessions, Claude's response is sometimes not displayed. The response appears to have been generated but the UI does not render it. The user has to ask Claude to repeat the answer.

What Should Happen?

The response should be visible when returning to a session after switching away.

Error Messages/Logs

None — the response is simply not shown.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open two Claude Code sessions (session A and session B)
2. In session A, ask a question or give a task
3. Switch to session B while Claude is responding (or shortly after)
4. Switch back to session A
5. Claude's response is missing — the UI shows no output for that turn
