Ctrl+O file picker has no obvious way to close/dismiss it

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When pressing Ctrl+O to open the file picker, there is no visible indication of how to close it. No close button, no "Press Escape to dismiss" hint, nothing. The picker stays open with no visual cue on how to dismiss it. The user must discover on their own that pressing Ctrl+O again or Escape will close it.

Below the file picker it says "Showing detailed transcript · ctrl+o to toggle · ctrl+e to show all" but it is not obvious what exactly ctrl+o toggles.

What Should Happen?

There should be a visible close option — either a close button, or hint text like "Press Escape or Ctrl+O to close."
