[BUG] IDE integration installed without asking and unclear how to disable

• Claude CLI version: 1.0.35 (Claude Code)
• Operating System: macOS 15.4
• Terminal: VS Code integrated terminal

Bug Description

Steps to Reproduce

1. Run claude in the integrated temrinal
2. Uninstall the extension "Claude Code for VSCode"
3. Run claude again

Expected Behavior

Claude Code should prompt before taking an action like installing IDE extensions

Actual Behavior

<!-- What actually happened -->

The extension is installed automatically and it comes back even when I uninstall it. I've read the docs on IDE integration and there's no method suggested to prevent this from happening.
