Bug Description
Bug happens on latest version, but didn't use to. Whenever I open claude in Konsole, cursor opens in a new window, not even in same folder I was, so not sure what was supposed to happen.

It's a Cursor bug: claude calls
cursor --version, but official Cursor AppImage for Linux is not correctly passing arguments.Claude could workaround it but ideally it should be fixed there, so closing this.
Can Claude have an option to not try running IDEs? It's a bit odd that it does runs programs on the machine without asking the user.
I understand this is not, strictly speaking, a bug in claude-code, but debugging this made me feel like I was taking crazy pills. So perhaps there's an argument that some sort of workaround would be nonetheless worth it to improve the user experience.
Another thought is: Why is claude testing the version of cursor on startup? Perhaps this should be delayed until I run
/install-ide-integrationsor whatever it's called. Triggering this bug then would at least be much less surprising.If this is so, then
cursor --versionshould open Cursor when called in the terminal, no?This doesn't happen.
