[FEATURE] Make /context display persist until ESC is pressed
Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 18, 2026 by jx-nimblerx Closed Jan 22, 2026
Feature Description
The /context command currently auto-dismisses after displaying. It would be helpful if it persisted until the user presses ESC to dismiss it manually.
Use Case
When monitoring context usage during longer conversations, having /context stay visible allows users to reference the token breakdown while continuing to work, rather than having to re-run the command repeatedly.
Proposed Behavior
/contextdisplays and remains visible- User presses ESC to dismiss
- Consistent with other modal/overlay dismissal patterns in Claude Code
Current Behavior
/context displays briefly then auto-dismisses without user input.
Environment
- Version: 2.1.12
- Platform: macOS
