Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I run Claude in any session the Claude Code terminal does not display the last character that I input until I enter another keypress. For example if I enter the characters k and e the e character will not appear until the next keypress happens. It does not consistently behave this way. At times all characters are correctly displayed in the terminal, other times all characters wait for the next keypress. The behavior seems random.

What Should Happen?

I should see all characters when I type them.
