[Feature Request] Display token usage in planning mode completion confirmation view

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jan 17, 2026 by ianpoley Closed Feb 27, 2026

Bug Description
When a prompt in planning mode completes and Claude displays the accept/deny changes dialog, token usage information is not visible.

Current behavior:
The accept/deny view shows the proposed changes but does not display current token/context window usage.

Expected behavior:
Token usage should be visible in this view, similar to how it appears elsewhere in the interface.

Use case:
When deciding whether to accept changes, context window availability is a critical factor. If I have sufficient context remaining but I'm uncertain about a fix, I may want to iterate further rather than clearing context. Without this information visible at decision time, I have to either navigate away to check usage or guess, neither of which is ideal.

Impact:
This would enable more informed decisions about whether to:

  • Accept and continue with remaining context
  • Clear the context window
  • Request modifications before accepting
