[BUG] /context command output renders incorrectly in v2.1.9 and is very slow to load

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 16, 2026 by PaulRBerg Closed Jan 16, 2026

What went wrong?

The /context command in v2.1.9 no longer works correctly:

  • Takes approximately 5 seconds to run (slow)
  • Output is grayed out
  • Output appears on the right-hand side of the screen instead of left-aligned

What should happen?

The /context command should display quickly with properly formatted, left-aligned output that is fully visible.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start Claude Code v2.1.9
  2. Run /context
  3. Observe the slow rendering and misaligned output

Environment

  • Version: 2.1.9
  • OS: macOS Tahoe 26.2
  • Terminal: WarpTerminal
  • Platform: Anthropic API
  • Model: Sonnet

Is this a regression?

Don't know
