🤖 Generated with Claude Code

I'm on 2.1.87 and same issue. It can hang in the main agent, it can hang in the subagent, it can hang in multiple subagents at the same time. Seems like buggy implementation of how datacenter infrastructure is overloaded (or maybe just bugs). Either way, this exists in 2.1.87 as well for me.

How this manifests - no tokens are being generated for minutes (sometimes 10+ minutes) at a time.

Experiencing the same issue here.

Claude Code version: 2.1.87
Model: Claude Opus 4.6
Platform: macOS

I'm encountering the same problem. Token generation stalls completely, with Flibbertigibbeting… displayed in red text. This happens consistently — I've tried opening multiple separate sessions, but the issue reproduces across every single one of them. No tokens are generated beyond that point, and the process just hangs indefinitely.

I'm ubuntu and I have the same issue, for the past few days, claude code is incredible slow, both models: sonnet and opus, no matter the context(new session or existing session with context). Version 2.1.87

GearUnclear · 4 months ago

Yeah happens more consistently if I have 2 sessions open at once

On my macos 26 works perfectly fine but on Ubuntu 24 LTS it is painfully slow.

I've had it with this slow Claude Code!
It works fine in the morning then becomes unusably slow in the afternoon!

✻ Whirlpooling… (7m 16s · ↓ 173 tokens · thinking with high effort)
...
✻ Discombobulating… (8m 22s · thinking with medium effort)

That is not acceptable especially when paying $200/month!

This is BRUTAL. The number of times it just seemingly gets stuck at some small point showing something like Thinking... 256 tokens on Opus 4.6 High Effort is rough. Half the time I don't even realize it, I just go back to the terminal and realize that it's just been sitting there for five or ten minutes and I have to hit escape to interrupt it and then tell it to continue, and then it regains its mind.

Version: 2.1.101 (Claude Code) on Mac M1

Yes useful to point out I only use Claude Code on Ubuntu 24 LTS

What's interesting that I see it on my personal x20 Max account, but I don't see it on my work team plan account, with x5 (or is it x6.25) limits, the work one is blazing fast
