[Bug] VS Code Extension: @file mention autocomplete slow to load file list

Bug Description
In the VS Code Claude Code Extension, the file mention feature (@file) is taking longer than usual to load the file list to select from. In the terminal, it is working as normal. It's just in the VSCode extension where it's taking longer than usual. I tested in both Cursor and VSCode and it was the same behavior. I am running VS Code on a Mac.
