[Bug] Auto-Compact fails with "Conversation too long" error repeatedly

Bug Description
I am unable to compact any conversations they keep failing w/ ⎿ Error: Error during compaction: Error: Conversation too long. Press esc twice to go up a few messages and try again.

I have auto compaction on but it just never successfully works. Have to open a new convo every time i hit compaction
