Problem Statement

Hello,

i just would like to ask: Are there plans for introducing a feature such as "auto compacting at xxx tokens"? In Codex theres such environment variable. That would improve the Quality, since it is known that higher context usage reduces the quality

Proposed Solution

I tried it by writing in CLAUDE.md to auto compact regularly. It just gets ignored.
