[Bug] /resume command hangs with blank terminal for 30-60 seconds

Bug Description
In 2.1.3 /resume takes 30-60 seconds to resume - just see a blank terminal while it's doing that. To the user it looks like the process has failed and the terminal is locked/crashed.
