[BUG] StatusLine broken on macOS

What's Wrong?

2.0.53 introduced a status line at the top of the screen. Aside from the fact that the new green status line at the top of the screen is super annoying, even after exiting Claude Code, it still remains.

What Should Happen?

When exiting Claude Code, the green status line should disappear (and it should also be configurable to disable this annoying feature)

Steps to Reproduce

Run claude code. Get it to think or do something.

Watch the distracting annoying green line. Exit claude. It's still there
