[Bug] Auto-compact causes hallucinated task completion without actual work

Bug Description
[Do I need brackets to report disappointments? I requested some work from Claude Code. It began the work. Then the conversation began compacting. When it finished compacting, it said it did the work, but did not. When I checked, I had to test it and then come back and tell it that it hallucinated and did not do the work. This is annoying and frustrating and eats up time and makes Claud unreliable. The compacting is a problem.]
