CRITICAL: Paste freezes entire Claude Code terminal

Bug Report

Severity: Critical - Blocks all work

Issue: When pasting into Claude Code terminal, escape sequence [201~ appears and freezes the entire Claude Code instance. Terminal becomes unresponsive and requires full restart.

Platform: macOS (Darwin 25.0.0)
Shell: zsh
Reproduction:

1. Copy any text
2. Paste into Claude Code terminal
3. [201~ appears
4. Entire instance freezes
5. Must restart terminal

Expected: Paste should work without freezing
Actual: Complete freeze, instance unusable

Workaround: Avoid all paste operations in terminal

Impact: Cannot paste commands, API keys, or any content into terminal
