[BUG] Restore context usage hover in Claude Code desktop app (Windows 11)

What's Wrong?
Until this morning, I could simply hover over the context donut in the main window to check context usage. It was quick, convenient, and required no additional screen space.
Now context usage has been moved into a sidebar that must either remain open or be repeatedly opened and closed just to check it. This is particularly frustrating for users with vertical monitors, split-screen setups, or narrower windows.
The previous hover functionality created no clutter. The new implementation adds unnecessary clicks and consumes valuable screen space.
Perhaps context limits aren't a major concern internally at Anthropic, but they are a concern for paying users, particularly during lengthy development sessions.
What's especially frustrating is that OpenAI faced substantial user complaints when it similarly removed convenient context visibility from its Codex desktop app. A quick look at that issue would have demonstrated how strongly developers value this functionality:
https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/23794
I wish Anthropic would actually consider user feedback before making changes such as this.
What Should Happen?
Restore the ability to view context usage by hovering over the donut in the main window. The sidebar can remain available as an additional option, not a mandatory replacement. There's no reason these features can't coexist. Removing convenient access to essential information doesn't improve the UI, it makes it worse.
