Feature request: show the session ID when hovering over a named session (VS Code extension)

Surface: Claude Code VS Code extension (native UI), Windows 11

Problem

When I run many named sessions in parallel, each session in the VS Code extension shows only its name. Other tools reference sessions by ID: --resume <id>, transcript files under ~/.claude/projects/..., cross-session messaging, logs, and hook payloads. To match a named session in the editor to its ID, I have to dig through transcript files or ask the session itself. That gets painful with 10–20 sessions open at once.

Proposed behaviour

  • Hovering over a session name (the session list, history picker or tab title) shows a tooltip with the full session ID, and ideally the start time and working directory.
  • A "Copy Session ID" item in the session's context menu, or a click-to-copy in the tooltip.

Why it helps

  • Resuming a specific session from the CLI (claude --resume <id>) or from another machine.
  • Finding the right transcript file for debugging or support.
  • Coordinating many parallel sessions, which is common with multi-agent workflows.

This request is narrower: just surface the existing session ID where the name is shown.
