[Bug] Permissions UI truncates retry status indicator for long descriptions

Bug Description
The UX in /permissions for long descriptions is unreliable. I can't tell if I'm properly retrying a task because the word (retry) is appended to the end of the line, which is cut off anyway. So I have to toggle the permission a couple of times before feeling confident that it hit. Also, escaping out of that view rather than "confirming" doesn't feel right.
