Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

  • After /clear, the new local session reuses the old bridgeSessionId. The phone entry resets to "clear", so the pre-clear conversation can no longer be reached from mobile. It is still in /resume locally, so this part is arguably by design.
  • The actual bug: one remote session ends up linked to several local conversations. Resuming the pre-clear conversation (test-a) in another process posts its messages into the post-clear conversation's phone entry (test-b), under test-b's title.
  • Routing: phone messages go to the process that holds the remote connection, and land in whatever conversation that process has loaded at the moment. They do not go to the conversation the phone entry represents. Each message lands in exactly one transcript.

Impact: from the phone you can't tell which conversation a message will reach. For anyone followinand in-process /resume are hazardous. The workaround is one task per claude process.

Evidence: ~/.claude/projects/<project>/73b74297-62b2-4474-b9ff-8fd6a3f8136c.json (test-a) and e17b6c1.json (test-b). Both carry bridge-session records with bridgeSessionIdcse_017KdDUuntiU3vj5R8YFG8dM. /clear also carries custom-title/agent-name into the new session file.

What Should Happen?

I imagine clearing should either not copy the remote stream or directly create a new one

Steps to Reproduce

Repro (CLI 2.1.287, Remote Control on):

  1. Process 1: send "msg A", /rename test-a, /clear, send "msg B", /rename test-b. Phone shows one reply].
  2. Process 2: /resume test-a, send "tst A 2". It appears on the phone inside the test-b entry.
  3. From the phone, send "From phone" in the test-b entry. It lands in test-a (process 2).
  4. Process 2: /resume test-b in-process. Process 3: /resume test-a.
  5. From the phone, send "From phone test 2". It lands in test-b (process 2). Process 3 receives no
