Feature request

Extension version: 2.1.289 (linux-x64)

Problem

The VS Code extension's session picker (Local tab) only lists sessions from the folder that is currently open. To find a session from another project, I have to open that exact folder first.

Other tools (for example the Codex extension) list sessions from all projects in one place. Claude Code's CLI can already do this: /resume → Ctrl+A shows all projects. The extension has no equivalent, and there is no setting for it.

Proposed solution

  • Add an "All projects" toggle (or filter) to the session picker in the extension, like Ctrl+A in the CLI /resume picker.
  • Group or label each session with its project folder.
  • When I pick a session from another folder, offer to open that folder (new window or current window) and resume the session there.
  • Optionally, a setting such as claudeCode.sessionPickerScope: "workspace" | "all".
