[BUG] Android app, Remote Control: scrolling chat dismisses keyboard; opening keyboard shifts the screen
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Platform: Claude Android app, Code tab (Remote Control session)
Android version: 17
App version: <doplň z Nastavenia → O aplikácii>
Keyboard: <Gboard / Samsung / iná>
What's wrong:
When the keyboard is open in a Remote Control session, scrolling the
chat immediately closes the keyboard. When I then tap the input field
to type, the screen scrolls/shifts slightly. This makes it very hard
to read earlier messages while composing a reply.
Expected:
Keyboard stays open while scrolling the conversation, as it did before.
Is this a regression?
Yes. It worked correctly until recently. The regular chat in the
same app is not affected, only Code / Remote Control.
What Should Happen?
Not closing keyboard while scrolling
Error Messages/Logs
Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce:
- Start a Claude Code session on the computer and connect to it
from the Claude Android app (Remote Control).
- Exchange several messages so the conversation is long enough
to scroll.
- Tap the input field so the keyboard opens.
- Try to scroll up in the conversation while the keyboard is open.
- Observe: the keyboard closes as soon as scrolling starts.
- Tap the input field again to type.
- Observe: the screen scrolls/shifts slightly when the keyboard
opens.
Actual: keyboard closes on scroll; view shifts when typing.
Expected: keyboard stays open while scrolling; view stays in place.
