Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

For over a week now since v2.1.281, the daily updates will respond to two or three prompts before it hangs completely. See screenshot of session with v2.1.288.

Does not depend on model or mode. My only recourse is to revert to v2.1.281 and it works fine.

What Should Happen?

Should never hang after entering a prompt.

Error Messages/Logs

Just hangs -- no output

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start session
  2. Enter a couple of prompts
  3. Usually third prompt never gets a response
