SessionStart hook freezes Claude Code in Google Antigravity IDE terminal

Environment:

OS: Windows 11 Home (Build 26200)
Claude Code: v2.1.30/31/32
Terminal: Google Antigravity IDE integrated terminal
Does NOT freeze in: VSCode terminal, PowerShell, CMD, Git Bash

Root cause:
The SessionStart hook in session-start.sh has an escape_for_json() function that does character-by-character string
escaping in a bash loop. This hangs in Antigravity's integrated terminal.

The hook is invoked via run-hook.cmd, which shells out to C:\Program Files\Git\bin\bash.exe to run the script.

Workaround:
Disable the plugin in ~/.claude/settings.json:
"superpowers@superpowers-marketplace": false

Fix (resolved in latest version):
Updating to the latest version of the plugin resolved the issue.

I have the same problem claude code freezes after migrating from v2.1.29 to 2.1.31 and 2.1.34. The issue the screen freezes, and whenever I try to resume the session, the issuepersists. The issue is present in Ghostty and iterm

Try what I tried - the issue was plugins and marketplaces - disable all plugins and marketplaces from the settings.json file
