What happened
Subject: Projects: no way to set permission mode for threads, connector "Requires approval" is never enforced

Summary
In a Project (private, with Google Calendar connector), threads run as background cloud sessions. The per-tool permission setting "Requires approval" on the calendar connector is never enforced there, and I found no setting to choose a permission mode (ask / plan / auto) for project threads.

Steps to reproduce

Connect Google Calendar and set all write/delete tools (create, update, delete, respond) to "Requires approval".
In a Project, let a thread create, change and delete a calendar event.
Result: all actions run immediately, no approval prompt appears anywhere. Tested in the original thread and in a freshly created thread.
Set "Creates a calendar event" to "Blocked": the call is rejected ("Permission denied"). So "Blocked" works, "Requires approval" does not.

Expected
Either an approval prompt for the user (e.g. in the project chat or as a push notification), or a visible setting per project or thread to choose the permission mode, like in Claude Code (ask / plan / auto).

Actual
No prompt and no setting. The connector tooltip says "Claude asks before each use, except in sessions with 'Auto approve'", which suggests project threads run in an auto-approve mode (my inference, not verified). I could not find where this mode is set.

Impact
For a personal planner with access to my real calendar, I cannot technically require confirmation before events are created or deleted. As a workaround I added a rule in the project instructions plus confirmation cards, which only works because the model follows it, not because the system enforces it. The only reliable technical protection is "Blocked", which also removes the function.

Request
A per-project or per-thread permission mode, or approval prompts for project threads that honor the connector's "Requires approval" setting.
