What were you trying to do?

Update: resolved with manual installation of the Claude Github MCP Connector.

Root cause:
The Claude Github MCP Connector was authorized to my GitHub identity but was not installed on my TtomSt account.

GitHub previously showed:
"Claude Github MCP Connector has not been installed on any accounts you have access to."

I manually installed the Claude Github MCP Connector GitHub App.

During installation, the redirect back to Claude returned:
{"type":"error","error":{"type":"invalid_request_error","message":"state: Field required"}}

Despite that callback error, the GitHub App installation completed successfully.

GitHub now shows:
"Claude Github MCP Connector has been installed on 1 account you have access to: TtomSt."

After reconnecting/testing Claude, private repository access works.

Claude can now read:
TtomSt/dentflow

This suggests the Claude.ai connection flow successfully performs user authorization but may fail to create the required GitHub App installation for private repository access.
