[BUG] Claude Code not responding in current chat, looses connection to VSC,

What's Wrong?

similar to #39807 , latest version of VSC:
Version: 1.139.1 (Universal)
Commit: 04c0d99f4fb0d8afe6ce4f0c58e31e183ac3e4b1

and Claude Code Plugin:
2.1.285

macOS 26.6.2

This way the plugin is totally useless!

What Should Happen?

This must be fixed, otherwise it does not make sense to use this plugin anymore.

Steps to Reproduce

Just open claude code chat in VSC and give it a task, suddenly it looses connection. no response.
if you ask "are still workging", there is no answer. But if you restart VSC, you will see that Claude actually responsded and also answered to the last question by saying "No, I have finished your task, see above". So, Claude is still there. It's just the connection into VSC.
