What's Wrong?
Re-filing #45099, which was auto-closed as stale (not resolved on the merits) and is now locked.
Bug: Claude Desktop on Windows The window doesn't respond to clicks in maximum state, can still be used but the windows is full screen and cannot be shrunk or miniomized., and the normal close button does not appear.
Workaround found: Alt-Tab to bring up the Windows window switcher, right-click the frozen Claude entry there, and choose "Close window." The app then reappears as a normal, responsive window instead of staying frozen — no Task Manager / End Task needed, and it appears to close cleanly rather than killing the process outright.
Environment: Windows 11, Claude Desktop (electronVersion 44.4.3, appVersion 2.9939.2)
Posting this as a fresh issue per the bot's own suggestion on the locked thread, since the underlying bug in #45099 was never actually fixed — just closed for inactivity.
What Should Happen?
The window should close/min.
