[BUG] Desktop sidebar (Windows) no longer lists scheduled tasks under "Scheduled"; each run now takes several clicks to open. Please make the list collapsible instead of removing it.

What's Wrong?
In a recent update to Claude Desktop on Windows (currently 2.9939.2), the left sidebar stopped listing my scheduled tasks beneath the "Scheduled" heading. Previously each scheduled task appeared as its own row directly under that heading, with a blue dot on any task that had a new run. I could scan the column of blue dots and click each one to open and read that run's output in a single click.
Now "Scheduled" is a single collapsed row with one blue dot. To read a run I have to:
- Click "Scheduled" to open a separate page.
- Click the blue dot on the task, which opens a list of all runs made by that task.
- Click the blue dot on the individual run to open it.
- Back out, back out, back out to get to the next task and repeat.
I run roughly 40 local scheduled tasks, many daily, so this turned a quick morning scan into a multi-click loop per task. The tasks themselves are intact and firing correctly; this is purely the sidebar surface.
I understand the pile-up complaint (#94181) that likely motivated this. But hiding the list outright picks one group of users over the other when no tradeoff was needed. Related history: #54524 (Routines section removed from sidebar, April), #95967 (runs missing from sidebar/Remote Control, macOS, Sep 22). Filing separately because this is Windows and the complaint is different: the tasks still open fine, but the one-click list is gone.
What Should Happen?
Make the "Scheduled" section a collapsible drop-down in the sidebar, with the expanded/collapsed state remembered per user. Expanded: every scheduled task listed as its own row under the heading, with its unread blue dot, one click to open the latest run (the behavior before this update). Collapsed: the single row we have now, for users who don't want the sidebar flooded.
That satisfies both the pile-up request and mine with one toggle. Removing the expanded list altogether was not necessary to solve the other complaint.
Error Messages/Logs
Steps to Reproduce
- Claude Desktop 2.9939.2 on Windows 11, with several local scheduled tasks configured and at least a few that have run recently.
- Look at the left sidebar.
- Observed: "Scheduled" is a single row with one blue dot. No task rows beneath it, no expand control.
- Click "Scheduled" -> separate page listing tasks. Click a task's blue dot -> list of that task's runs. Click a run's blue dot -> run opens. Navigate back three times to check the next task.
- Expected (previous behavior): each task listed under "Scheduled" in the sidebar with its own blue dot, one click to open the run.

Additional Information
Terminal/Shell is N/A (desktop app sidebar, not CLI). Model field is N/A for the same reason. Scheduled tasks are local Cowork-style tasks (about 40, most daily), all firing correctly. Screenshot of the current sidebar attached.

Reproduced on macOS as well (Claude Desktop, latest build as of 2026-09-26).
Same regression: the sidebar used to list each scheduled task as its own row under "Scheduled", each with its own blue dot for new runs. After the update, "Scheduled" is a single collapsed row with one aggregated blue dot. Checking a run now takes Scheduled → task → run, plus three back-navigations per task.
I run 15 scheduled tasks (daily send batches, nightly enrichment, weekly reports) and relied on the sidebar list to spot at a glance which ones had new runs. The tasks themselves still fire correctly — this is UI-only.
+1 to the proposed fix: make "Scheduled" a collapsible section that remembers its state, so users with many tasks get the per-task rows back and users with few tasks can keep it collapsed.
Same problem here, Claude Desktop on Windows.
I run about 12 scheduled tasks (daily briefs, monitoring, study coaching). Since the update, "Scheduled" is a single row and every run lands in "Ungrouped", mixed with my actual work sessions. Within days the sidebar is unusable: I have to scroll past dozens of automated runs to find my own chats, and Ungrouped can't be collapsed or moved.
This is a clear regression. Please restore the per-task list under "Scheduled" (collapsible is fine), and keep scheduled runs out of Ungrouped, either grouped per task or auto-archived after N runs.
Same problem here on Windows. My scheduled runs now land in the Today list mixed in with my regular chats. A couple of my tasks run every half hour, so they bury the chats I actually need to find. The filter menu only has Status, Last activity, Group by and Sort by. There's no way to hide the scheduled runs or split them out.
Please bring back a Scheduled section in the sidebar that folds open and shut, or add a filter to hide scheduled runs from the chat list. Either one would fix it for me.
Please bring back a scheduled section in the sidebar.
