[Feature Request] Add VSCode-style UI sidebar for IntelliJ integration

Ideally on a par with Google Gemini Code Assist.

The usability of the terminal is far from perfect, especially if you are using other terminal tabs for other purposes.

Yeah… I personally gave up this dream of Claude Code in IDE already and am using claude code in WARP.dev then using the JetBrains IDEs only for reviewing the code changes, building, committing and manually editing as needed.

I don't understand what's making it so hard, @bcherny could just vibe-code it FWIW…

Importantly, this plugin is not open source; otherwise, we could easily modify it ourselves. My solution was to use AI coding to build a plugin from scratch that can reside permanently on the right sidebar.

This would absolutely have a very positive impact for developers, IntelliJ are popular IDEs among professionals and having cleaner integration would be very helpful.

@jetbrains, I stopped your subscription because I don't need any AI proxy services. I need a plugin that directly can connect different models from my PC.
@anthropics, I'm so tired with keeping opened both JetBrains IDE for coding and VS Code as an AI console... If once your competitor writes good JetBrains IDE plugin, I'll switch.
