New sessions default to Sonnet Medium instead of user's configured default (Sonnet High); iOS app doesn't apply saved model/effort setting

Description

New chat sessions are starting on Sonnet (Medium effort) instead of my configured default of Sonnet High.

iOS app specifics

On the iOS app, the saved model/effort preference isn't applied to new sessions at all. Every time, I have to manually type a command like "/model opus" to switch the session to the model I actually want. It doesn't stick as a default.

Expected behavior

New sessions (desktop and iOS) should start on the user's configured default model/effort (Sonnet High), without needing to manually re-select it every time.

Actual behavior

• New sessions start on Sonnet Medium regardless of configured default.
• iOS app requires manually typing a model-switch command every session; the preference doesn't persist or apply automatically.
